David Huff, CPA, MS-Tax – Founder and Owner
David Huff, CPA, MS-Tax, is the Founder and Principal Owner of DW Huff Consulting, a tax, accounting, and financial accounting firm that serves small businesses in New Orleans, LA. He enjoys creating strategies that help his clients utilize their earnings effectively so their money works for them as hard as they do.
David is very client-oriented and focused on helping them bring together all the pieces of their financial puzzle. He loves to apply his knowledge and experience to help small business clients overcome unexpected challenges and get back on track towards success.
DW Huff Consulting provides a variety of financial services, including accounting services, tax preparation and planning, tax resolution, bookkeeping, payroll, advisory, cash flow forecasting, and more, to a wide range of industries—from businesses in the services industry to eCommerce businesses. David is a gold-level QuickBooks ProAdvisor and also provides expertise and services for QuickBooks, including consulting, training, implementation, installation, setup, troubleshooting, and support.
Prior to starting his own business, David served as Chief Financial Officer at a local community college, served in public accounting, and has been in the accounting industry for well over two decades. David earned both his Master of Science in Accounting-Taxation and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the University of New Orleans. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Louisiana.
When he isn’t so busy with work, David is a person with many hobbies and interests. He is a prolific volunteer; he has served as a board member of the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce since 2011, heads the Tour da Parish event committee, and is the treasurer for Community Center of St. Bernard, a food pantry organization for those experiencing food insecurity.
David is also a competitive cyclist and is currently a Category 4 Road Racer on the Urban South Brewery Sponsored team managed by Semi Tough Cycling Club, New Orleans. One of his life goals is to buy some land in Montana to use as a retreat during the scorching summers in South Louisiana
